About Us

Our Vision:

We believe in theater as a transforming art that has the ability to cross lines of culture, age, race,
gender and socio-economics. Every school child should have the opportunity to study and perform
theater at the highest production level attainable.

Our Mission:

Georgia School Costumes is committed to aiding educational institutions in teaching and performing
live theater by providing high-quality costumes at a price the school can afford.

Jill Sabulis,

president and artistic director, started her professional life as a newspaper reporter. The mother of two grown children, she came to costume design as a volunteer about 10 years ago, learning first-hand the unique frustrations of costuming high school theater: tight budgets, a dwindling pool of volunteers and a lack of storage space. Nonetheless, she loved the work and had a knack for reading a script, envisioning truly unique costumes and making a costume plot come to life. In 2008, she and long-time friend Avery Hartrampf made that leap of faith, starting Georgia School Costumes, which, during its first year of operation, costumed 17 shows.

Avery Hartrampf,

vice president and business manager, spent most of her professional career working in human resources and business management for law firms. Also the mother of two grown children, she became involved with high school theater as a volunteer, managing the costume process for four years. The enjoyment of working with young actors as well as the creative process of costuming a show quickly became a passion, now fulfilled by Georgia School Costumes.
